Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream and First Watch Partner on Ice Cream For Breakfast
But it's only around for a limited time.
Two of our favorite Central Florida spots are getting a little sweeter thanks to an upcoming collaboration!
Orlando, brace yourselves: the age-old breakfast debate just got a delicious new twist. This summer, ice cream for breakfast isn’t just allowed—it’s encouraged, thanks to a scoop-tastic collaboration between two local favorites, First Watch and Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream.
Limited Time Collaboration
From June 20 through July 4, kids dining at select Central Florida First Watch locations will score a free scoop of Kelly’s beloved Cake Batter N’ Sprinkles flavor with any Kids Menu purchase. Yes, you read that right: sprinkles with your scrambled eggs, ice cream riding shotgun next to your pancakes—because summer rules were made to be bent.
“We’re making memories that are unexpected and a lot of fun,” said Shane Schaibly, First Watch’s Senior VP of Culinary Strategy and proud Florida native. “Who says you can’t top a Chocolate Chip Pancake with ice cream? It’s all about celebrating the season—and creating smiles while we’re at it.”
And there’s even more reason to raise your spoon: the partnership doubles as a birthday party. Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream is celebrating 10 years of scoopin’ happiness across Orlando, and this team-up is their sweetest thank-you yet to the community that made it possible.
“This collaboration felt like the perfect way to mark our 10th anniversary,” said Kelly Seidl, owner of the iconic pink-scooped brand. “We love finding fun ways to give back, and sharing ice cream at breakfast? That’s a summer memory in the making.”
Here’s the Scoop:
- The free scoop comes with the purchase of any Kids Menu item at participating First Watch locations and is automatically:
- Served on top of the Chocolate Chip Pancake, Half Waffle, or French Toast
- Served on the side of any other kids’ dish
- Available while supplies last, so don’t sleep in too long
Participating locations include:
Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Longwood, Mills Park, Nona Place, O-Town West, Oviedo, Sand Lake, South I-Drive, UCF, and Winter Springs
And for the Cherry on Top: Sundae Fundae Events
First Watch and Kelly’s are throwing two community ice cream parties with their famous pink truck dishing out scoops dressed in toppings inspired by your brunch favorites.
Sunday, June 22 | 12–2 PM
First Watch – Altamonte Springs (720 E. Altamonte Drive)
Sunday, June 29 | 12–2 PM
First Watch – UCF (3402 Technological Ave.)
The first 100 customers at each event get a free scoop from the truck with proof of same-day purchase from First Watch—so brunch first, then scoop like a champ.
Whether your little ones are pancake purists or sprinkle superfans, this breakfast collaboration brings the kind of joy that can only come from two Orlando originals saying: why not dessert first?
See you at brunch. Bring your sweet tooth.
