THE PLAZA LIVE IS LEANING INTO WHAT IT DOES BEST FOR THE 2026-27 SEASON: presenting an eclectic mix of touring artists, comedians and specialty events in one of Orlando’s most intimate live music venues.
Rather than centering on a single artistic theme, the historic venue’s upcoming calendar spans genres and generations, reflecting its long-standing role as an independent alternative to larger arenas. Music remains the backbone of the lineup, with concerts ranging from classic rock and Americana to indie pop, jazz, Latin music and hip-hop, alongside comedy, tribute acts and immersive live experiences.
Highlights include performances by Americana favorites The Mavericks, legendary guitarist Robin Trower, Icelandic singer-songwriter Daði Freyr, jazz-funk bassist Thundercat, folk icon Judy Collins and post-punk pioneers Public Image Ltd. Comedy also has a strong presence with Felipe Esparza, Zoltan Kaszas and Hyprov, while family-friendly and pop culture programming includes Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: In Concert, pairing the beloved fantasy film with a live musical performance.
The season also showcases The Plaza Live’s commitment to serving a broad cross-section of Orlando audiences through recurring summer R&B, soul and jazz concerts, international touring acts and culturally diverse programming. That variety has become a defining characteristic of the venue, which regularly hosts everything from singer-songwriters and tribute bands to podcasts, dance parties and multilingual performances.
Originally opened in 1963 as Orlando’s first two-screen movie theater, The Plaza Live has evolved into one of Central Florida’s premier live entertainment venues while retaining the intimate atmosphere that performers and audiences value. Recent renovations have modernized the facility while preserving its historic character, allowing the nearly 1,000-seat hall to continue attracting nationally touring acts that might otherwise bypass a venue of its size.
