KFC Testing New Premium Chicken Sandwich Only In Orlando

Today, Kentucky Fried Chicken announced it's testing a NEW KFC Chicken Sandwich in select Orlando restaurants for a limited time only.

The perfectly fried chicken sandwich is bigger and better than KFC’s current sandwich offer and is its best sandwich yet. Compared to its current sandwich, the new KFC Chicken Sandwich boasts an upgrade in every way. The double-breaded, Extra Crispy™ chicken filet is 20% larger, and it’s on a new buttery brioche bun. There are crispier, thicker pickles, and the perfect amount of the Colonel’s real mayo, now in classic or spicy.

“Our food innovation team set out to create our best chicken sandwich yet, and to find the perfect combination of ingredients to pair with our world-famous fried chicken,” said Andrea Zahumensky, KFC’s U.S. Chief Marketing Officer. “They left no stone unturned. They tested pickles with eight variations of thickness and brines before we landed on our pickle. And for our perfect brioche bun, we collaborated with six different bakeries and tested more than ten formula revisions in order to find the right one to hug the larger-than-ever filet in just the right way.”

Some of the first Central Floridians to taste these new sandwiches are local front-line workers, including teachers, police officers, and others.

Customers in Orlando have multiple options for purchasing the new KFC Chicken Sandwich, including:
• KFC Chicken Sandwich à la carte for $3.99
• KFC Chicken Sandwich combo meal which includes a side (like KFC Secret Recipe Fries) and medium drink for $6.99

We’ll get a chance to taste test the new sandwich later this week. Follow along with us on social media for our initial reactions!
