Some of the most successful musician-owned restaurants are right here in our backyard: B. B. King’s Blues Club; the recently opened Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill; and of course the laid-back Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville. But the theatrical hard rock behemoth called Kiss, now in its 40th year, can claim more gold albums than all of them combined, and probably the loudest new rock & roll burger place in town in the form of Rock & Brews.

The Oviedo location of this multi-shop chain opened in November and is the first on the East Coast. An official grand opening fundraiser is set for Jan. 6, with an appearance by its flamboyant co-owners and Kiss founders, bassist Gene Simmons and guitarist Paul Stanley.

Serving “American comfort food” such as hand-crafted burgers, creative pizzas, wings and a wide selection of craft beers, the 8,000-square-foot restaurant features family-style seating, nonstop music, and multiple televisions showing great moments in rock.

It’s a shame there aren’t any menu items named after Kiss song titles, but spandex-clad Kiss Army devotees might dream about I Wanna Pulled Pork on Roll All Nite or God Gave Rockin’ Nachos to You while they dine.
