Orlando theatergoers, ease on down the road! Tickets are now on sale for one of Broadway’s most iconic productions. The Wiz, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, returns in a dazzling new tour and lands at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts for a limited engagement.

A Classic, Reimagined
First premiering on Broadway in 1975, The Wiz redefined The Wizard of Oz with soul, gospel, rock, and ’70s funk. It won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and produced timeless hits like “Ease on Down the Road” and “Home.” The new tour honors that legacy while giving it a fresh, electrifying edge for today’s audiences.
Directed by Schele Williams (The Notebook, revival of Disney’s Aida) with choreography by JaQuel Knight (Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies”), the production layers ballet, jazz, and modern pop into the movement. Add in a visionary creative team with costumes by Sharen Davis (Dreamgirls), sets by Hannah Beachler (Black Panther), lighting by Ryan J. O’Gara, and sound by Jon Weston, and this Wiz promises to be unlike any you’ve seen before.
