There’s lots of excitement in June at Orlando’s attractions.

Unless you’ve spent the last couple of years hiding under a rock (and at least in the case of 2020, we wouldn’t blame you), then you’ve heard the news: EPCOT is currently undergoing a massive renovation. Earlier this year, the entrance was refreshed with sleek new pylons anchoring the park’s front fountain, and flags that represent various aspects of the park now flank Spaceship Earth.

Renovations to the second oldest of Walt Disney World’s theme parks were announced well before COVID-19 hit. The new layout will include four neighborhoods: World Showcase, World Celebration, World Nature and World Discovery.

The park will also launch a new nighttime spectacular, Harmonious, later this year. If you visit the park now, you’ll see the barges for the show already in place within World Showcase Lagoon.

This summer EPCOT debuts two new spots within World Celebration. Creations Shop will serve as the park’s flagship merchandise location, replacing Mouse Gear. The store will be Mickey-themed, and will offer huge windows, allowing lots of light to promote a connection with nature.

Fans of the former Club Cool can also rejoice: Disney has announced that Club Cool Hosted by Coca Cola will return! In the past, guests could sample Coca Cola products from around the world; the new stop will offer the same experience, but will include “new magic.” Here’s hoping that the magic still includes Beverly.

Also, for the first time ever, EPCOT has extended its springtime festival into summer. A Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival runs through July 5, making it the longest iteration of the event yet. To keep things fresh, Disney chefs created a new kitchen for 2021 with a menu that is updated to reflect the seasons. Farmer’s Feast, located in the wonderfully air-conditioned World Showplace, offers a rotating menu. In this way, the festival becomes a new experience, regardless of the number of times that you visit.
