Of course lamb is an Easter treat, and nobody prepares it better than the Greeks. The lamb chops are marinated for 36 hours with fresh herbs and garlic, and come with lemon potatoes and yiayia vegetables. One of the Orlando’s longest-running Easter sunrise services is held at Bayside Stadium and offers a beautiful view to watch the sunrise. Easter Eggstravaganza Weekends at the Gaylord Palms

For Easter, guests will discover beautiful pastel-colored tulips, daffodils, hyacinth and more blooming alongside giant, decorated Easter eggs and a particularly large “chocolate” bunny inside the impressive atrium. Special events occur on weekends from April 1-16, with a scavenger hunt offered daily. Beyond Orlando

91st Annual Easter Sunrise Service at Bok Tower Gardens

Bok Tower Gardens in nearby Lake Wales offers one of Central Florida’s longest running Easter sunrise services under a canopy of majestic oak trees. An annual tradition since 1926, the service allows worshipers to experience the majesty of the sun rising over the horizon atop Iron Mountain. The gardens’ carillonneur Geert D’hollander begins the celebration at 6:30 am with a selection of seasonal music performed on the 60-bell singing tower carillon, followed by inspirational music presented by the Parkview Christian Life Center “Sounds of Judah Mass Choir”  and a half-hour concert performed carillon concert to close the worship. Following the service, the Blue Palmetto Cafe opens at 8 am for an Easter breakfast buffet. Free admission to the sunrise service from 6 to 8 am.
