Deepa Taneja, MD

ABOUT THE DOCTOR

Deepa Taneja, M.D., is board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. Dr. Taneja
practices evidence-based medicine and provides a full range of endocrinological services. She is
particularly interested in Thyroid, Diabetes, Calcium, Bone diseases, and Pituitary disorders.
Dr. Taneja graduated with honors from medical school in India. She completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Health System, Cleveland, Ohio. Then, she moved to the University of Kentucky at Lexington to do Fellowship training in Endocrinology. She has won awards for academic merit and was the Chief Fellow of the Endocrinology Fellowship Program. She is the Clinical Assistant Professor at UCF College of Medicine and is active in teaching, training, and
mentoring medical, PA, and nursing students. She is an Orlando Health Hospital System staff
member and is affiliated with AdventHealth. Dr. Taneja is an active member of the Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation, and North American Society of Menopause. She is also a sub-PI on multiple research trials and
collaborates with tertiary centers for complex thyroid, parathyroid, and Pulmonary tumors. She is
particularly interested in PCOS and Obesity, requiring novel weight loss strategies. With her
specialized training, she strives to improve awareness and provide state-of-the-art management of endocrinological ailments in the community.
