Craig M. Mintzer, MD, MBA

SPECIALTY

Board-certified orthopedic surgeon, fellowship trained in sports medicine and advanced arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery as well as being one of the first in the country to earn a subspecialty certificate in orthopedic sports medicine. Dr. Mintzer serves on the executive committee of the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and is president of the board of directors at Eugene Jewett Ambulatory Surgery Center.

EDUCATION

Dr. Mintzer received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University in molecular biology and
received the First Honor Prize at Princeton for highest class standing. He attended Harvard Medical School and completed his residency training at the Harvard Orthopedic Program in Boston. His
advanced sports medicine fellowship was completed at New England Medical Center in Boston.
Dr. Mintzer has also earned a Master of Business Administration from Florida State University.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS/AFFILIATIONS

Chief medical officer and head orthopedic surgeon for Orlando City Soccer Club (Orlando City, Orlando Pride, Orlando City B, Orlando City Academy), head team physician for Rollins College, head team physician for Winter Park High School, former

head team physician for the Orlando Magic (2005-2022); associate professor of orthopedics for the University of Central Florida College of Medicine; active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, MLS Team Physicians Society and the NBA Team Physicians Society.

PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS

Having the privilege of taking care of Orlando’s professional, college and high school sports teams for 27 years, being named “Top Doctor for Orthopedic Sports Medicine” nationally and appearing yearly in Orlando magazine’s Finest Doctors publication.

GREATEST PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS

Balancing a busy sports-filled orthopedic practice and raising two high achieving and successful children (Samantha, Wake Forest University 2017 summa cum laude, and Brandon, Princeton University 2020 summa cum laude) with Debbie, his wife of 31 years.
