Well Orlando, it's really warmed up this week. The sun's been out and it's been calling to us all to get out and enjoy. After a week of fighting temptation to let the work go and drive to the beach for some rays and waves, it's finally the weekend! There's a lot going on in and around town, so read below for some great ideas for this weekend and for St. Patrick's Day celebrations.

Date Night Ideas:

Friday March 13 – The Dr. Phillips Center For The Performing Arts – 9:00 PM

Hundred Waters with Mitski – Looking for a night out on the town with friends or that special someone? Saturday – Buena Vista Palace Hotel, Lake Buena Vista – 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM

If you like getting all dolled up and a bit of Hollywood glamour, then head out to Lake Buena Vista for the 22nd annual An Evening at the Palace and enjoy live entertainment, dinner, and a silent auction. Saturday March 14 – Movie in Donnelly Park, Mount Dora – Sundown

No babysitter? Who says you can’t have a family date night? Grab the kids and head out to Donnelly Park the monthly movie-in-the-park night. No kids? Grab a blanket and snuggle up for this month’s movie, Disney’s Big Hero 6. For more info: fun4lakekids.com

Saturday and Sunday – Leu Gardens Spring Plant Sale – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Saturday March 14 – Corrine Commons, Baldwin Park – 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Not only is this a great event for getting the kids out of the house, but the proceeds benefit the Brightside Events’ Stock the Pantry Program to feed students in need over those extended breaks from school. For more info: doggiederby.com

Sundays – Orange County Regional History Center, Orlando – 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM

From now until May 3rd, Sundays are free admission at the History Center. Get to know our history through the three floors of permanent exhibits and see the featured exhibit on display now, And Still We Rise: Race, Culture and Visual Conversations Exhibition. For more info: thehistorycenter.org

St. Patrick's Day:

March 13 to 17 – Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant, Downtown Disney – Various Times
