Paws in the Park – Lake Eola – 9 am to 1 pm

Dragon Parade – Orlando Fashion Square – 11 am

Indie Folkfest – Mennello Museum of American Art – noon to 6 pm

Enjoy an afternoon in the Marilyn L. Mennello Sculpture Garden on the shores of Lake Formosa, listening to great music. For more info: mennellomuseum.com

Valentine Concert – Leu Gardens – 7 to 10 pm

Spend a romantic evening strolling 50 acres of flowers and greenery while listening to the music of the Jeff Howell Blues Band, the Dr. Otto Gomez Group, and the Bird Dog Bobby Band. Bring a picnic. Desserts and coffee are available for purchase at the gardens. For more info: leugardens.org

There Will Be Verse – Henao Contemporary Center – 8 pm

It's a Valentine's Day Massacre with words. Four poets compete to be the next contender for the There Will Be Verse Championship, plus a feature set from Sherdes Leona, Orlando's representative at the 2017 Women of the World Poetry Slam. For more info: facebook.com/events/1637610473207674


African-American Read-In – Orlando Public Library – 2 to 4 pm

Celebrate Black History Month with African-American literature in poetry, story, and song, performed by local luminaries in conjunction with the 27th Annual National African-American Read-In. This event is free and open to the public. For more info: ocls.info

Valentine Concert in Central Park – Winter Park – 2:30 to 5 pm

It’s an afternoon of romantic music in Winter Park’s Central Park, courtesy of the Park Avenue Merchants Association. Bring a blanket, a picnic and someone special. Free. Check website for time and list of musical acts. For more info: winterpark.org
