OKTOBERFEST
October 16-17 Avalon Park celebrates the traditional beer fest with live entertainment including Schuplattler Alpenrose Dancing, music by Europa, contests for yodeling, chicken dancing and stein holding, authentic German foods by the German American Club, a beer garden and a root beer garden for kids. SOUTHERN WOMEN’S SHOW
October 8-11 Bethenny Frankel, star of the Bravo series Real Housewives of New York, coupon queen Tanya Senseney, and race-car driver and  automotive TV host Trisha Hessinger appear along with 400 exhibitors including boutiques, jewelers, travel agents and celebrity chefs. Also featured are health screenings, matchmaking services, makeovers and the Firefighter Fashion Show, which raises funds for the Children’s Burn Foundation.
