The Bride Sara Jordan, 29, is the creative director and chief operating officer of Jordan Wolk, a women’s luxury clothing brand in New York City.
The Groom Jonathan Brosious, 28, works at Community Middle School, West Windsor, New Jersey, as a health and physical education teacher.
How They Met Sara, who is originally from Apopka, joined eHarmony in response to her frustration with the New York City dating scene. Jon, meanwhile, joined with his buddies, unsuspecting of the success he would have. Once Sara and Jon were matched, the spark between them was instant. Much of their courtship was long-distance, and they were constantly commuting between NYC and New Jersey to see each other.
Their Engagement “Jon proposed April 4, 2010, on Easter Sunday,” Sara says. While visiting his mother at her house, Jon enlisted the help of his nephews to hide the ring in an Easter basket and place it under a nearby tree. Then he took Sara on a walk around the lake. “On the walk, Jon casually discovered the Easter basket and got down on one knee,” Sara says.
Their Wedding The couple enjoyed a romantic vintage garden wedding with lots of Sara’s designer touches (including her dress). In keeping with the garden theme, Sara’s color palette included peach, lavender and plum with gold accents.
