Real Orlando Weddings: A Winter Park Wedding

Julia and Christian’s unforgettable Winter Park wedding blended classic beauty with heartfelt details. The couple exchanged vows at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, then celebrated with a reception at The Alfond Inn.

Julia first laid eyes on Christian at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, the church they tied the knot in 6 years later. Shortly after seeing him, they had a class together called Body Language and got assigned to a partner project on “attraction and affection.” They became friends quickly but when the pandemic hit, Christian graduated and moved back to the Midwest. While working remotely, Christian convinced a friend in Orlando to switch apartments with him and went back to Florida to pursue Julia, and the rest is history!

For their stunning outdoor reception at The Alfond Inn, guests were welcomed through a grand floral installation at the entrance of a draped tent on the lawn—an enchanting start to the evening. Inside, tall centerpieces added height and drama, while a lush hydrangea runner brought softness and romance to the dinner tables. The floral design complemented the sophisticated atmosphere and natural setting perfectly. One of the most memorable moments of the day was the appearance of the bride and groom’s golden retriever, Bailee, who joined the celebration wearing a floral collar, adding a heartwarming and personal touch.
