Kristin + John

December 1, 2012, Paradise cove

The Bride Kristin Davis, 29, is a copywriter.
The Groom John Lesko, 30, is a regional cost controller.
How They Met John and Kristin met at the University of Central Florida at a Greek-life event—her sorority and his fraternity were paired up to perform for their 2003 homecoming. John auditioned to be part of a dance routine and asked Kristin to help him cut the sleeve off of his T-shirt so he could use it as a sweatband. Sparks flew. “That short exchange turned into lunch dates in between classes, late-night movies and long talks by the lake on campus,” says Kristin.
Their Engagement After 10 years together, and the trial of sometimes being long-distance, Kristin and John planned a trip to Jamaica. “My friends and family were convinced that John was going to propose,” says Kristin. But he didn’t. However, when the couple returned, Kristin was surprised to find that John had planned a road trip to a bed and breakfast in Georgia. They spent the first day hiking and during their trek found a secluded waterfall—and suddenly, John got down on one knee. “We were wearing old workout clothes, covered in sweat and dirt. And I wouldn’t have had it any other way.”
Their Wedding A rustic, vintage affair.
