Kid Kontributor of the Month: Denver Humphrey!

Our Kid Kontributor of the Month is 10-year-old Denver Humphrey! She also spoke (and sang) and Orlando Magazine's Women of the Year breakfast last Thursday. She is truly an inspiration. 

 

 

 

Hi, my name is Denver Humphrey! I am 10 years old. For as long as I can remember, my parents taught me to be positive, work hard and always DREAM BIG! I challenge myself to meet my goals on a daily basis. I love to learn and improve my skills. I think it is important to plan and map out my future! I don’t have to wait to be older to live my best life NOW. If you wait, you might miss out on a great opportunity! 

 

So, a little bit more about me! When I grow up, I will be a Entrepreneur, Professional Tennis Player, Singer, Actress and Motivational Speaker! Me and my family have traveled across the country, visiting junior tennis programs and academies in over 20 states and internationally. My family recently relocated from New Jersey to take advantage of Central Florida’s elite training opportunities. I am a member of Florida’s USTA High-Performance Excellence team, playing competitive 12 and under tournaments. I wrote my first original song at 8! I enjoy singing, dancing, acting and sports. I train at The Studio Orlando and recently performed in Disney’s The Lion King Jr Musical.

 

After completing WhizKids Entrepreneurial Camp, offered though Orange County Library, I launched 4dDo (with my brother Dylan). Our company’s mission is to inspire and motivate others to defy odds and live life in 4d…Discover. Dream. Define then Do. We want to make a difference in the world and challenge others to live life differently.

I have been blessed to experience a lot of amazing opportunities…and I’m just 10! I was selected to perform the National Anthem during the 2018 US Open. In front of over 25,000 people!  I met many tennis professionals, and shared the stage with amazing Disney artists. Living in Florida has opened up additional opportunities for me to work with Disney and Oprah Winfrey Network!

 

I am a ranked USTA tennis player, and train at the USTA National Campus and Red Bug Lake’s Excellence Training Center. I enjoy building lasting memories for my life. Discover. Dream. Define. Do.  So please know that I’m going places!

 

My motto is ‘’All you need is hard work and you can do anything you put your mind too.’’ I really believe it’s OK to do what you love…which for me means I can achieve many things when I grow up. I just need to have a plan, dedication and the right attitude.
