Jekyll Island Summer Camps

Parents can relax on Jekyll Island while their junior scientist, budding golf or tennis pro, or history enthusiast enjoy camps tailored to their interest.

Summer is an exciting time on Jekyll Island for kids of all ages. Whether your child is a junior scientist, budding golf or tennis pro, or history enthusiast – Jekyll Island has a summer camp for everyone. Parents can enjoy their days relaxing on Jekyll while their kids learn and explore throughout the Island. All Jekyll Island summer camps are created and directed by degreed professionals and staffed by qualified counselors, with a maximum of six campers per counselor.

Camp Basics:

• Cost: $280 per camper, per week
• Registration includes: five full days of camp, camp t-shirt, camp water bottle, daily boxed lunch, and a one-time visit during camp to Summer Waves Waterpark
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. (after care is currently not available)

Sea Turtle Camp

Ages: 6-12 (two levels of camps are available for kids ages 6-9 and 10-12)

The Georgia Sea Turtle Center (GSTC) invites campers to enjoy fun-in-the-sun activities, field-based adventures, and unforgettable sea turtles. Each day will focus on sea turtle biology, conservation, and the threats that these animals face. Campers will explore the many habitats of Jekyll Island: from freshwater ponds to the maritime forest to tidal marshlands down and to the beach accompanied by the myriad of turtle species and wildlife found in coastal Georgia. Campers will interact daily with GSTC staff, volunteers and AmeriCorps members during this unique week of learning and adventure. 

Golf Camp

Ages: 6-15

Jekyll Island Golf Club invites campers to learn more about the game of golf. Daily instruction from a PGA Professional will cover putting, chipping, pitching, full swing, on-course instruction, and etiquette. Daily instruction will be tailored to meet your child’s needs. Whether it’s their first time on the green or they are well-versed in the game, this camp is great for all levels of golfers.

Tennis Camp

Ages: 6-15

The Jekyll Island Tennis Club invites campers to improve tennis skills and help develop their personal style of play. Each camper will get daily on-court instruction personalized for their needs. Staff is made up of USPTA professionals and teaching assistants with college level experience. Campers are grouped based on individual skill level not based on age.

Time Travelers Camp

Ages: 8-12

The Jekyll Island Museum invites campers to travel through history and discover an eventful past through daily field trips, games, and hands-on activities throughout Jekyll Island. This adventure includes outings exploring Colonial times, the Golden Age of Piracy, the Gilded Era, the Roaring 20s, and the 1950s. Campers will focus on a specific time period each day, visiting a variety of historic sites on the Island, including the Historic Landmark District. Learning will be fun-filled through an assortment of engaging and active experiences.
