Windermere Preparatory School

Windermere Preparatory School (WPS) is a private international day and boarding school with extraordinary academic experiences for students in Pre-K 3 – 12th Grade.

As the school begins to celebrate its 25th anniversary, WPS continues its commitment to off­ering the highest quality academic programming as it pursues authorization to become an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School.

Since 2008, Windermere Prep has off­ered a two-year IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) to its juniors and seniors. The addition of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) will bolster the school’s existing curriculum for elementary, middle, and early high school years. The work to become an IB continuum school will require a school-wide commitment to aligning with the IB’s mission and philosophy, but WPS’ dedicated IB Coordinators will be leading the charge.

Dr. Brenda Fields, IBDP Coordinator, is in her twelfth year at Windermere Prep and also serves as Assistant High School Director. She oversees teaching and learning in the high school with a special focus on the IBDP. Ms. Mariko Bliss, MYP Coordinator, is starting her third year at Windermere Prep, overseeing the implementation of the MYP by supporting curriculum development, planning, and evaluation.

Ms. Jamie Davido­ has worked at Windermere Prep for nearly ten years and is responsible for leading the curriculum and learning for Pre-K 3 – Grade 5 as the school’s PYP Coordinator. Dr. Fields, Ms. Bliss, and Ms. Davido­ collaborate with one another to seamlessly integrate the three programs into a cohesive learning experience for WPS students.
