Faces of ORL 2026: The Face of Supporting Landscapers, Homeowners & Cities
THE FACE OF SUPPORTING LANDSCAPERS, HOMEOWNERS & CITIES
Luis Silva, Founder & President
Sod Depot
“Our mission has always been simple: great service, fair pricing, and making it easy for our customers to get the materials they need to keep their projects moving,” says Silva. Today, Sod Depot operates four locations across Central Florida, serving more than eight counties. As a Disabled Veteran-Owned Business, the company has grown into a major supplier for contractors, municipalities, landscape companies, commercial properties and homeowners.
From sod, rock, mulch, fertilizer and plants to full job-site deliveries, Sod Depot focuses on removing the hassle from ordering landscape materials. Customers can order online and have materials delivered directly to the job site, helping crews stay productive and projects stay on schedule.
“We understand that when a contractor has a crew standing on a job site, they need material there, not excuses,” Silva says. “Our job is to make the ordering process simple and get the material where it needs to go.”
With four locations, an expanding delivery fleet and a growing nursery operation, Sod Depot is positioned to support projects throughout the region. Its online platform offers transparent pricing and 24/7 ordering, whether customers need a single item, multiple pallets of sod or truckloads of material. While the company continues expanding its commercial and municipal presence, Silva emphasizes that Sod Depot has not forgotten the customers who helped build the business. “We still take care of the homeowner buying one pallet or one plant the same way we take care of the contractor ordering multiple truckloads,” he says.
Rooted in Silva’s military background, Sod Depot’s culture is built around service, accountability, loyalty and execution. Its goal remains simple: help customers succeed by making landscape material delivery the easiest part of their day.
