| The sky over downtown Orlando was abuzz with news helicopters and a Goodyear blimp as the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Lakers were about to meet in Game 5 of the NBA Finals at Amway Arena on June 14. I was at home in College Park, within walking distance of the arena, when the noise of the choppers and the blimp’s propellers got my attention. Using a camera equipped with telephoto lens, I snapped this photo of the blimp as it passed over a hovering news chopper. The chopper loitered overheard while the blimp flew a circuitous route, passing above the chopper several times before the game started. In this shot, they appear to come perilously close to each other, but they had plenty of airspace between them. |
