Cafe Da Vinci Styled Shoot

An intimate backyard style wedding with a southern-eclectic touch.

As an artist it's important for me to not only stay busy with work, but to make time for personal projects too. I organized this shoot in about 4 months and I'm completely amazed at the final outcome.Growing up near the Deland area- the small town has always had a place in my heart. The historic downtown district is treasured by the locals for its art, music, southern charm, and culture. I wanted to display an early fall photo shoot catered to a particular well-known venue in downtown Deland called Cafe Da Vinci. The venue is popular for its music entertainment and nightlife, but they also rent out their space for a variety of events. Cafe Da Vinci has always embraced a rustic ambiance. It's versatility and potential initially inspired the styled shoot. Lee Forrest, owner of Lee Forrest Design captured my vision of a Sunflower theme which depicts the season's colors. Mark Shuttleworth, owner of Florida Victorian Architectural Salvage & Antiques operates next door to Cafe Da Vinci. Further into the planning Mark and I picked some of his unique inventory to complete the design. The combination of location and creativity of all the professionals finally brought the vision to life. Cafe Da Vinci is the perfect venue for a DIY bride. Styling your own wedding can appear intimidating, but you are not alone! Collaborate with your desired vendors and they will help you achieve your vision.
