Orlando audiences are about to experience a little wizarding magic. For the first time ever, Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, the six-time Tony Award winning theatrical phenomenon, is coming to Central Florida. The production runs through February 15, 2026, at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in the Walt Disney Theater. This limited engagement marks the show’s Florida debut and its only tour stop in the state.

Whether you grew up with the books, discovered the films later, or simply love a big, immersive night at the theater, this production delivers spectacle, heart, and storytelling on a grand scale.

We’ll be stopping by tonight, so stay tuned tomorrow for a full review. For now, here’s what attendees can expect!

A New Chapter in the Wizarding World

Set 19 years after the conclusion of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Cursed Child follows Harry Potter as an adult and Ministry of Magic employee, now navigating life as a parent. At the center of the story is his son, Albus Severus Potter, who struggles with the weight of a famous last name and the expectations that come with it.

What unfolds is a deeply human story about family, friendship, and identity, wrapped in time-turning twists and richly imagined stagecraft. You do not need to be a Potter expert to follow along, but longtime fans will appreciate how the play expands the Wizarding World in thoughtful and surprising ways.

A Theatrical Event Unlike Anything Else

Since its debut in 2016, Harry Potter and The Cursed Child has become one of the most successful stage productions in history, earning critical acclaim for its innovative illusions, choreography, and emotional depth. Adapted by Jack Thorne with the original story by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany, and Thorne, the show blends classic theater with modern stage magic that must be seen live to be believed.
