At the center of Pensacola’s arts calendar is the Foo Foo Festival, a 12-day celebration held each November that transforms the city into a vibrant cultural hub.

“It’s not one central location,” Felth-McKenzie said. “It’s a series of events happening throughout the city, and sometimes there are multiple events happening at the same time.”

“There’s constant movement,” she said. “People are going to shows, restaurants are full, and the entire city feels alive.”
Foo Foo Festival also coincides with the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival, further expanding the range of visual and performing arts available during the same timeframe.

For first-time visitors, Felth-McKenzie recommends beginning with two iconic venues that showcase Pensacola’s artistic character.
The historic Saenger Theatre, a beautifully restored 1920s landmark, hosts concerts, theatrical performances and festival programming throughout the year.
“It’s one of my favorite places to see a show,” she said.
Another standout is Maritime Park’s outdoor amphitheater, located along Pensacola Bay. Concertgoers enjoy performances against a scenic waterfront backdrop, with the illuminated Three Mile Bridge visible at night.
“It’s a unique venue because you’re right on the water,” she said. “It’s really special.”
