A Touch of Whimsy at Sugar Boo & Co.

Sugarboo & Co. specializes in simple, yet delightful home décor and gifts.

It’s impossible to walk into Sugarboo & Co. without staying a while. There’s a cozy, welcoming ambiance to this understated store that makes shoppers feel right at home. And that, says artist/owner Rebecca Puig, is precisely the point. 

“We work really hard to make ‘the Boo’ a place where people can slow down, pay attention to the little whimsical world we have created within our stores, recharge their batteries, and hopefully leave a little better than when they came,” she says.

The shop, located in Disney Springs’ Town Center, carries an eclectic mix of vintage pieces and contemporary items, as well as collectibles from Puig’s travels and her original artwork, sold under the Sugarboo Designs label. 

Puig finds artistic inspiration in nature and positive mantras. Her biggest creative insights come from her children “as I am usually working on art that has a message I want them to see.” Eye-catching items—paperweights, notecards, pillows and framed artwork—are decorated with sentiments—some sweet, some silly—such as “Hello Beauty Full,” “To The Moon & Back” and “Hogs and Kisses.” 

Since Puig and her husband, Rick, started Sugarboo Designs in 2005 out of their Georgia home, they’ve opened six storefronts in the Southeast. Disney Springs is their only Central Florida location. 

As the Sugarboo empire continues to grow, Puig vows to keep her focus on what is most important: “We are all about putting positive messages throughout the store. I am interested in any piece that will add soul to a home.”
