WE WERE INVITED TO KICK OFF THE HOLIDAY SEASON IN TRUE LEGO FASHION, surrounded by dazzling brick-built figures and festive décor made entirely from LEGO and DUPLO bricks. From a life-size LEGO Santa to a colorful sleigh with reindeer, a giant LEGO wreath, unique hands-on activities, twinkling lights, and a special holiday menu, the park was filled with a cheerful atmosphere. And of course, the iconic 30-foot LEGO Christmas Tree tied it all together with its colorful and imaginative built shape.

Speaking of massive brick-built masterpieces, we were there for the official tree-lighting celebration! The event was hosted by Emily Calandrelli (“The Space Gal”), an acclaimed science communicator, aerospace engineer, and the 100th woman in space. She led the countdown to light the tree and then surprised everyone with an incredible space-themed drone show! Hundreds of synchronized drones formed glowing shapes in the night sky, from rockets to LEGO bricks, marking the announcement of LEGOLAND’s all-new indoor family space-themed roller coaster, Galacticoaster, blasting off February 27, 2026.
