Zootopia: Better Zoogether! Brings Wild New Energy to the Tree of Life
Opening November 7 at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Join citywide Zoogether Day celebration at the Tree of Life Theater to highlight unity across Zootopia’s biomes. Hosted by new character Heidi Howler, the Zoogether Day LIVE! broadcast features acts from Tundratown ice skaters to Gazelle’s show-stopping finale, and guests are invited to experience all the fun when Zootopia: Better Zoogether! opens at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Nov. 7, 2025.
If you hear a chorus of “Try Everything!” echoing through Disney’s Animal Kingdom this week, you’re not imagining things — that’s the sound of Zootopia: Better Zoogether! roaring to life inside the park’s most iconic landmark, the Tree of Life Theater.
After months of buzz, Orlando Magazine got a sneak peek at the new show, and trust us, this isn’t your average day at the watering hole. The experience brings guests straight into the bustling metropolis of Zootopia, where Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and their furry friends are gearing up to celebrate the city’s most festive occasion: Zoogether Day.
From “A Bug’s Life” to a Whole New Wild
Longtime Animal Kingdom fans will remember the Tree of Life Theater as the home of It’s Tough to Be a Bug!, the 3D adventure inspired by Pixar’s 1998 film A Bug’s Life. That attraction opened with the park itself on April 22, 1998 — months before the movie hit theaters — and ran for more than two decades.
Now, in true Disney fashion, the creative team has completely reimagined the space. Gone are the arachnid scares and insect gags; in their place, dazzling projection mapping, spirited choreography, and a menagerie of characters from every biome of Zootopia — Sahara Square, Tundratown, the Rainforest District, and beyond.
A Celebration of Coming Together
Get ready to go wild as Zootopia: Better Zoogether! bursts onto the scene at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park on November 7. This brand-new 4D show, inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia and the upcoming Zootopia 2, transforms the Tree of Life Theater into a celebration of unity, music, and pure animal fun.
Inside the theater, familiar furry faces and new friends gather for a special watch party in honor of Zoogether Day, the citywide holiday that celebrates harmony across Zootopia’s many biomes. Guests are invited to join the festivities as the event livestreams across the metropolis, hosted by Heidi Howler, a new character created exclusively for the show.
Audiences will be treated to ice-skating spectaculars from Tundratown, synchronized swimming from Marsh Market, dazzling mouse drone shows over Little Rodentia, and a finale featuring superstar Gazelle. Thanks to the “Carrot Vision” glasses worn during the performance, favorite characters appear to leap from the screen for a fully immersive experience. One exception, however, is Gazelle’s biggest fan and off-duty ZPD officer Benjamin Clawhauser, who makes his debut as an all-new Audio-Animatronics figure inside the theater. Clawhauser sports a festive new look complete with glow necklaces, bracelets, and his glittery Gazelle T-shirt.
The show features returning voice talent Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman as Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, along with contributions from filmmakers Jared Bush and Byron Howard, who worked closely with Walt Disney Imagineering Senior Creative Director Danny Handke and his team to bring this animated world to life.
The result is a stunning blend of humor, heart, and high-tech artistry that draws audiences even deeper into the world of Zootopia just ahead of Zootopia 2, which opens in theaters November 26.
Meet and Greet
Fans can also meet Judy and Nick in person at their new greeting location near the Tree of Life, the Zoogether Day Gathering Spot, where they will debut their new looks from the upcoming film.
Nestled within the park’s iconic Tree of Life, Zootopia: Better Zoogether! is a perfect fit for Animal Kingdom’s mission of celebrating the beauty and interconnectedness of the natural world. The show reminds guests that we are all part of one great ecosystem, from Savanna Central and Tundratown to the farthest corners of our own planet.
So grab your pack, pride, or herd and gallop over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to celebrate Zoogether Day with Judy, Nick, and the rest of Zootopia. After all, life really is better zoogether.
