About the Doctor

Dr. Masson specializes in cervical and lumbar disc disorders that cause nerve injury and loss of function. Every patient is individually screened before acceptance, allowing for a highly personalized approach from consultation through recovery. A spinal reconstruction patient himself and a lifelong athlete, he is a passionate advocate for prevention, fitness, wellness, and recovery.

Over his career, Dr. Masson has performed more than 14,000 minimally invasive neurosurgical procedures, helping athletes and active individuals return to the lives they love. Care is delivered entirely on an outpatient basis through the MSI Outpatient Surgery Center of Excellence in West Orlando, utilizing advanced microsurgical techniques, including the iMAS Procedure and cervical arthroplasty approaches he helped develop and teach to surgeons worldwide. He is also recognized as a Surgeon of Excellence within the Lantern Care Network and has been honored repeatedly as an Orlando Magazine Top Doctor, earning induction into the Hall of Fame in 2025.

Education

Dr. Masson graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he also studied biomedical engineering. He completed his neurological surgery residency in Gainesville in 1995, with advanced training in microneurosurgery and minimally invasive spine surgery.
