Neurology & Neurodiagnostics, LLC opened in 2014, providing high-quality Neurological care to the Lake Mary area. Care is provided by Katherine Matos, APRN and Dr. Ros-Escalante.

ABOUT THE DOCTOR

The practice is led by triple board-certified Neurologist Dr. Ros-Escalante, who is fellowship-trained in Neurophysiology techniques at the esteemed Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He holds board certifications in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Additionally, he is certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine in Nerve Conduction and Electromyography techniques, demonstrating exceptional competency in electrodiagnostic evaluations of Neuromuscular Disorders.

Dr. Ros-Escalante is affiliated with the AdventHealth Neuroscience Institute and has served as staff Neurologist at AdventHealth Altamonte Campus since 2013. He has led the effort to obtain and sustain Primary Stroke Center certification at AdventHealth Altamonte Campus, acting as Stroke Program Medical Director for the past six years. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and a Fellow of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Dr. Ros-Escalante served as an Officer in the U.S. Army and was Chief of Neurology at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, before transitioning to civilian practice. During his active-duty service, he received multiple military accolades, including the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, and Meritorious Service Medal for leading efforts to establish an acute stroke team at Tripler Army Medical Center in 2010.

ABOUT OUR NURSE PRACTITIONER

Katherine Matos is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board. She is licensed in Florida as both a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse. Katherine earned her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practice from Purdue Global University. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the National Honor Society of Nursing. She was previously an Assistant Nurse Manager at AdventHealth Altamonte Campus.
