THE FLORIDA SPINE & PAIN INSTITUTE CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING IN KISSIMMEE

Dr. Javier Placer and his wife, CEO Dara Sánchez, have set out to bring interventional pain care to their hometown of Kissimmee, Florida. As proud residents with Puerto Rican roots, they wanted a clinic that treated pain while reflecting the heart and culture of Osceola County. Today, Florida Spine & Pain Institute Kissimmee stands as that vision realized—offering expert pain management care, compassion, and a true sense of community.

Having called Kissimmee home for over two decades, Dr. Placer and Dara provide bilingual, patient-centered care so Spanish speaking patients feel understood and valued. “Our goal was to create more than a clinic,” says Dara. “We wanted a place where patients feel welcomed, heard, and cared for, a place that reflects the warmth of our bilingual community.”

Dr. Placer, a University of Florida–trained interventional physiatrist, leads a team that combines medical expertise with genuine compassion. The Institute offers advanced, minimally invasive treatments to relieve chronic pain, restore mobility, and improve quality of life, using fluoroscopy X-ray–guided technology for precise spine care. These procedures like simple injections allow patients to have longer chronic pain relief.

As the Kissimmee clinic celebrates its grand opening, Dr. Placer and Dara continue to expand services, enhance education, and strengthen community partnerships.
