From routine surgeries to the most complex and delicate procedures, Nemours Children’s surgical team offers 195 years of experience combined. In the last year, our Florida surgeons have performed more than 10,000 surgeries. Our surgical team is part of a nationwide e ort to improve pediatric surgical care, working to make surgery safer for kids throughout the country and participate in national and quality improvement projects through the American College of Surgeons. Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida, opened its doors in Orlando’s Lake Nona Medical City in 2012 with a focus on sophisticated medical treatment, research and education in Central Florida. From the beginning, we have cared for children and adolescents—from newborns to young adults—providing prompt and innovative surgical care specifically designed for growing bodies. Using advanced surgical treatments with the use of minimally invasive techniques, including state-of-the-art robotic procedures, we aim to minimize pain and help children return to normal activities as quickly as possible.

SURGICAL CENTER

Outpatient (same day) and inpatient pediatric surgical services are located in the state-of-the-art surgery center at the hospital. The surgery area also features a large, open, indoor-outdoor commons area with natural light and a second-floor rooftop garden. Our goal is to provide coordinated care closer to home in Central Florida and the Southeast region to better serve patients and families. And our pediatric surgeons o er outpatient consultations and follow-up care at Nemours Children’s locations closer to your home.
