Dr. Vinicio Hernandez is Board Certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology. He has been in
practice in Orlando since 1997 & founded SLCC in 2005.

OUR SERVICES

At SLCC, we specialize in treating solid organ cancers such as lung, breast, colon & prostate.
We also specialize in treating, screening & preventing blood disorders such as anemia, sickle cell
disease, bleeding & clotting disorders, and blood & bone cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma & myeloma.

WHAT SETS US APART

Our mission is to provide fiscally responsible & value-based patient-centered care in a friendly, empathetic setting where all diagnostic testing & treatment whether it is chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or radiation- can be done under one roof. After seeing patients struggling with bureaucratic hurdles in large institutions, Dr. Hernandez felt compelled to innovate & establish SLCC in 2005 to empower cancer patients to have a more personal, trusting & meaningful relationship with their treating
physician team. Because we are an independent practice, SLCC is able to make a positive impact on patient outcomes and quality care while reducing expenses.

INNOVATIONS

SLCC offers onsite, state-of-the-art radiation therapy for cancer, radio-ablation for thyroid tumors & electron-beam therapy for skin cancers. SLCC offers patients an on-site PET/CT scanner for tumor staging & diagnosis, minimizing the need to use outside radiology facilities. The practice provides Comprehensive Genomic Profiling of cancer, which is testing that identifies gene mutations in a patient’s tumor DNA to determine the best treatment approach for their particular cancer.
