SEAWORLD’S HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR
Through Oct. 25 A “fantasea” filled with trick-or-treating, dancing sea creatures, and pumpkin fish. Costumes are encouraged, and children can create sea-themed arts and crafts. Included in regular park admission on select weekends. seaworldparks.com

HOWL-O-SCREAM AT BUSCH GARDENS HALLOWEEN PARTY
Through Oct. 31 Roaming creatures and tormenting surprises around every corner; chilling live shows and some of Florida’s most challenging thrill rides. The fear and fun begin at 7:30 p.m. on select nights, with a separate admission fee. buschgardens.com

HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS AT UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT
Through Nov. 1 The theme park comes alive on select nights with hordes of horrifying mutants, monsters and maniacs. MICKEY’S NOT-SO-SCARY HALLOWEEN PARTY
Through Nov. 1 Dress up for this not-so-scary Halloween celebration, with all kinds of treats waiting to be found throughout the Magic Kingdom. WEREWOLVES AND WITCHES AND TIPS! OH MY!

VAMPIRATES
Oct. 1-31 Guests will need to watch their backs—or necks—at Pirates Dinner Adventure, as they may end up being dinner for the evil Captain Sebastian the Black and his horde of hungry Vampirates. BRICK OR TREAT AT LEGOLAND
Oct. 3-31 Dodge the ghouls, ghosts and goblins in Miniland USA while on a haunted scavenger hunt; trick-or-treat, view the largest Lego Jack-o-Lantern in the world, enter costume contests, dance at the Monster Mash, and end the day with fireworks. Select weekend days. florida.legoland.com

SPIRITS IN SANFORD ART SHOW
Oct. 9-10 Handmade and one-of-a-kind offerings will be available for sale at this edgy and spirited holiday art show. Friday evening is a reservations-only event; meet gifted artisans and stroll the show, with a Champagne Reception Preview Party from 6-8 p.m. offering a first look and early purchase opportunities, as well as photo opportunities with costumed characters. BAT BOY: THE MUSICAL
Oct. 15-31 This musical comedy/horror show is based on a tabloid news story about a bright-eyed, pointy-eared bat boy discovered by teenagers in a West Virginia cave. Adopted by a small town veterinarian, which both intrigues and shocks the town’s inhabitants, Bat Boy eventually acquires an education and even falls in love with the vet’s daughter, all the while struggling to keep his blood thirst under control. THRILLER CONCERT: CENTRAL FLORIDA COMMUNITY ARTS

ZOO BOO BASH

A HAUNTING CABARET

CARVED: A PUMPKIN’S MUSICAL ADVENTURE
Oct. 30-Nov. 1 It has been 25 years since the king of Pumpkinville mysteriously disappeared. Each year, young pumpkins leave their village hoping to find him but return empty-handed.
