How did Redlight Redlight not win Best Beer Selection?
How the hell did PF Changs and Pei Wei make it on that list for best Chinese... What happened to Lam's Garden and Tasty Wok? Whoever wrote this article is biased or has no taste
Seriously? Redlight Redlight isn't mentioned? It's considered one of the best beer bars in the country. The guys from WoB go there to drink.
I too thought of Redlight Redlight. Seems to me that if you look at the list, the people "voting" are all middle aged people living in Dr. Phillips or Winter Park, and have no real idea about the food in this city. It's getting better, but dang people, best burger went to a burger chain? Ridiculous.
I agree, the winner's circle is filled with politics for sure. Although there are a few good indies on here (Bosphorus, Sweet!, Little Saigon to name a few), a lot seem to be those who place ads in the magazine. Also, no one in their right mind can say Carraba's is the best Italian or even close to what you would get in Italy!
I hate that chain restaurants are included in these polls. It's the best of Orlando! National Chain corporations should be excluded
Who care's what the owners of 4Rivers beliefs are? Who cares if 4Rivers is anti-gay? It's not like they won't serve you if you're gay. Your BBQ will be just the same as everybody else's. Why does everybody care what everyone else thinks? It's your life, your reality, your choice. If a restaurant owners beliefs bother you that much, don't spend your money there. However, if you want the best BBQ in Orlando, then you'll have to quit being so sensitive, and start being proud of who you are and what you stand for. Go dress in you're gayest possible outfit and head to 4Rivers for some beef brisket, it's awesome!
My favorite place to eat in Orlando is 4Rivers BBQ. Currently, 4R's has 3 locations which makes it convenient to dine, no the area of Central Florida that I may be in or traveling too. My most frequent location is in Winter Garden and Winter Park, Florida. Recently 4R's Barbeque has opened a new location in Longwood, Florida.
My favorite is the tri-tip steak and brisket. I usually start off with the fantastic cornbread and baked cheese grits. Pretty much all of their side items are really tasty and unique. The side items accompany the Barbequed meats very well. If you are in the Central Florida area, 4Rivers is must try. Best Orlando BBQ!
The absolutley mind blowing thing, at least to me, is that Fishbones is on here for anything. Their happy hour and outdoor seating is not terrible, but everything else is. They have some of the worst food and service I have ever had anywhere. I have been there several times since it is the in place for our company to go to with a group. Every time I am shocked by how bad the food and service really is. People that are impressed by this place need an intervention.
