SEAWORLD SUMMER NIGHTS
Through Aug. 7: Experience SeaWorld after dark. This year is the “Summer of Mako,” a new event that helps guests explore the Earth’s oceans—and introduces them to the theme park’s Mako roller coaster, now the tallest, fastest, and longest in Orlando. The Shamu “Light Up The Night” show is back, too. The extended hours and added activities come with regular park admission.

MEGAPLEX XV
Aug. 5-7: This arts-and-entertainment convention focuses on anthropomorphic characters, with interactive art and performances that feature “fur suiting,” costuming, puppetry, improv, and music. This year’s theme is “British Invasion.” Mascot games, karaoke, dances, stand-up comedy, discussion panels, and speakers. U.S. CONTINENTAL PAGEANT
Aug. 5-6: A pageant developed to recognize modern women for their strengths and accomplishments. Garden Theatre, 160 W. Plant St., Winter Garden. uscontinentalpageant.com

ARTEGON MARKETPLACE ART OF BEER
Aug. 9: An evening of craft beer, live music, and tasty treats from marketplace vendors. Sip freshly poured ales from a local brewer and mingle with the artisans from the Village at Artegon Marketplace. Free. SANFORD’S ALIVE AFTER FIVE STREET PARTY
Aug. 11: Central Florida’s largest recurring street party, a monthly gathering on the second Thursday with live music, local artists, and both food and beverage samples. Free. 5 p.m. 230 E. First St., Sanford. sanfordwelcomecenter.com

THORNTON PARK 2ND THURSDAY WINE + ART WALK
Aug. 11: Artists display works for sale along the streets and inside local businesses. Free, but $15 gets you a glass and a map of more than 25 businesses offering wine tastings. 6:30-9:30 p.m. Summerlin Avenue at Washington Street. thorntonparkdistrict.com

MOUNT DORA 2ND FRIDAY ART STROLL
Aug. 12: A festive evening of art, music, and hors d’oeuvres in downtown Mount Dora, designed to showcase the work of regional artists on display at several local venues. Free. 6-8 p.m. 138 E. Fifth Ave., Mount Dora. mountdoracenterforthearts.org

3RD THURSDAY GALLERY HOP & ART WALK

SANFORD ART WALK
