Held at the Lake Nona Country Club on Nov. 11, 2012, Katy and Jeffrey Koble’s wedding had a mix of romantic, rustic and classic touches.

Although the bride always loved purple, her color scheme was inspired by a Christmas tree she saw during a vacation the couple took to Hawaii after Jeffrey proposed. The resort had been decorated for Christmas in purples, pinks, and golds. She knew as soon as she saw it that she wanted the wedding to reflect their time away together.

With the help of wedding planner Kristen Johnson of An Affair to Remember, the couple chose Lake Nona Country Club as their location because of the natural greenery and sophisticated feel. Another plus to the location were the planes visibly landing on the airport in the distance. The groom, a pilot, found it very fitting.

The flowers were arranged by Country Club Flowers in Lake Mary.

The bride had “attended too many weddings where no one ate the cake,” so she wanted something less formal. The cake and cupcake tier, made by Party Flavors,  allowed for a variety of flavors like amaretto, red velvet, and chocolate raspberry.

Most Memorable Moment: “I can't remember all of the exact details but I remember the feeling of walking down the aisle towards my future husband, the feeling of my dad giving me away, and the feeling up placing the ring on Jeff's finger and promising my life to him. It was so magical and I will never forget it,” says Katy.
