At Runway to Hope, our purpose is to ensure that, in Central Florida, no family is battling pediatric cancer alone. During a season filled with joy and festivity, there are families right here in our very own community navigating unimaginable challenges while simply trying to put a smile on their child’s face. As their kids write hopeful letters to Santa Claus, many parents are carrying the added weight of treatment, uncertainty, and financial strain behind the scenes.
The reality for children with cancer is that chemotherapy, radiation, and other treatments can’t wait for the holidays… which means the reality for their parents is that mortgage payments, utility bills, groceries, and gas to get to treatment can’t wait either. Nothing can be put on hold while they do everything they can to save their child’s life.
That is why Runway to Hope exists; to cut through the red tape and help families in our community with their immediate, critical needs – the things that simply cannot wait. Our Family Wellness Program is designed to provide relief in these emergency situations while our Hospital Programming is designed to bring local, innovative care, and in an ideal world, a cure.
