Guests at The Alfond Inn can now experience a fresh selection of contemporary artwork as the Rollins Museum of Art unveils its annual reinstallation of the hotel’s permanent art collection.
The 2026 installation features nearly 140 works displayed throughout the boutique hotel, including a newly acquired painting by Iranian American artist Kamrooz Aram and six works appearing at the hotel for the first time by internationally recognized artists Myrlande Constant, Rodrigo Facundo, Danh Võ, Zanele Muholi, Mary Grigoriadis and Deborah Poynton.
The Alfond Inn is believed to be the only hotel in the United States designed as an extension of an art museum. Curated by the Rollins Museum of Art, the rotating installations transform the hotel’s public spaces into an accessible gallery featuring works from the museum’s permanent collection.

“This reinstallation gives us an opportunity to share works from the Museum’s growing collection that haven’t been on view,” Leslie Anderson, the museum’s Bruce A. Beal executive director, said in a statement. “Our partnership with The Alfond Inn allows us to extend the reach of the Museum’s collection beyond our walls.”
The Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art includes more than 600 works displayed between the museum on the Rollins College campus and the hotel. The collection was established to introduce students to the ideas explored by living artists, with the museum overseeing the curation, interpretation and conservation of each piece.
The museum also lends works from the collection to major exhibitions worldwide. Pieces are currently on view at the National Portrait Gallery in London, the Colby College Museum of Art in Maine and Remai Modern in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
The public can celebrate the new installation during a guided Happy Hour Tour on Aug. 5, led by Senior Curator Dr. Gisela Carbonell. The tour will highlight recent acquisitions and provide insight into the featured artists and their work.
The Alfond Inn directs all profits to student scholarships at Rollins College, and plans for the museum’s new facility adjacent to the hotel are expected to further strengthen the partnership between the two institutions.
