PRINT PERFECT
Mixing bold prints can be a risky venture, but Farina & Sons custom builders and remodelers used the technique with dramatic success in creating this ultra-luxe bath. From the sunburst on the ceiling and the bold-print wallpapers to the mirrored cabinetry and two-toned tub, this is a bath that exudes style. The neutral tile and granite for the floor and countertops offsets the distinctive prints and fixtures to great effect. There’s a lot going on here, but the result makes a strong design statement.

NOUVEAU NEUTRAL
Designer Ted Maines of Ted Maines Interiors filled this Winter Park powder room with modern, elegant details. The floor-to-ceiling white Calacatta marble sets the tone for this luxurious small space, while the oversized sink and Swarovski crystal globe chandelier provide upscale, yet playful, elements. The 14-foot-high corner windows with frosted glass let in light without compromising privacy. Maines’ goal was to create a timeless design featuring wood, stone and glass that would be family-friendly.

SEA-GLASS CHIC
Homeowner Vicky Hodges bought her 1935 Cape Cod-style cottage in 2006, and spent more than two years renovating and extending the property with the help of local firm Warlick Design & Construction. In the en suite master bath, she chose to stay true to the original period fixtures, opting for white subway tiles on the bottom half of the walls and black and white hexagonal tiles for the floor. The claw-foot tub adds charm and nostalgia, while the pale sea-glass color for the walls (such as Sherwin-Williams’ “Spa”) lends a soft glow to the room. Hodges’ favorite feature of her new bath is the nine zodiac prints she’d been saving for years for the perfect wall space. She framed them individually in small shadowboxes and hung them next to the bathroom window.
