Universal Orlando is bringing one of the year’s biggest horror hits to life this fall as “Sinners,” the critically acclaimed vampire thriller from filmmaker Ryan Coogler, joins the lineup for the 35th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights.
Beginning Aug. 28 at Universal Orlando Resort, guests will step inside a haunted house inspired by the film’s eerie 1930s Mississippi Delta setting, where twin brothers Smoke and Stack attempt to open a juke joint before a violent group of vampires crashes the celebration.
The immersive haunted house will recreate Club Juke from the film, placing guests in the middle of a terrifying overnight battle between humans and bloodthirsty vampires. According to Universal, visitors will encounter characters pulled directly from the movie, including Sammie, Mary, Annie, Pearline and Cornbread, while attempting to escape vampires Remmick, Bert and Joan.
Since its 2025 release, “Sinners” has become a cultural phenomenon, earning more than $370 million worldwide while becoming the highest-grossing original horror film. The film also received 16 Academy Award nominations and won four Oscars.
“The moment Sinners premiered, we knew it was an undeniable fit for Halloween Horror Nights and it’s an honor to bring this story to life,” said Mike Aiello, senior director of entertainment creative development at Universal Orlando Resort, in a statement. “Its world, characters and intensity will translate into a relentless haunted house.”
This year’s Orlando event runs select nights through Nov. 1 and will feature 10 all-new haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment and themed street experiences. Universal has also announced vacation packages, Express Passes, R.I.P. Tours and the return of Premium Scream Night on Aug. 27 and Oct. 19.
Fans can also pick up exclusive “Sinners”-inspired merchandise now available at Universal Orlando, including limited-edition apparel and collectible figures tied to the haunted house experience.
