Karen Persis helps move the city one family at a time. She’s passionate about helping people build their families, and helping families obtain formal, legal recognition of these bonds through a practical, honest and creative approach. Karen provides comprehensive legal representation in all areas of assisted reproductive technology law, including surrogacy, egg donation, sperm donation, and embryo donation.

A proud University of Florida graduate, she has been recognized by the University as a 40 Under 40 Honoree. She is a Fellow in the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys and is a past president of the Orange County Bar Association. Karen was named by her peers to The Best Lawyers in America® numerous times and as the 2023 & 2025 Family Law Lawyer of the Year in Orlando.

In addition, Karen also represents parties as a third party neutral in family formation matters in her role as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator. Karen has had the privilege to represent families in 18 countries on 5 continents, dozens of states, and all throughout Florida.
