Kai Kai BBQ & Dumplings, known for its award-winning Cantonese barbecue and dim sum, is proud to announce the opening of its second location inside Crooked Can Brewery in Minneola this Summer.
The new restaurant will be located inside City Center Market, the food hall anchored by Crooked Can Brewery at Hills City Center in Minneola. Situated at 1600 Crooked Can Loop, the more than 40,000-square-foot destination is expected to feature more than a dozen locally owned food vendors, craft beer, outdoor gathering spaces, live entertainment and family-friendly amenities.
Kai Kai joins the growing lineup of businesses opening within the 96-acre Hills City Center development, a project designed to showcase local entrepreneurs while creating a community gathering place for residents of Lake County and Central Florida.
The expansion comes as Kai Kai continues to build a reputation as one of the region’s premier destinations for Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant’s original location at Mills Market has earned recognition in the MICHELIN Guide in both 2025 and 2026, helping introduce a wider audience to its traditional Cantonese barbecue and dim sum offerings.
“We’ve been fortunate to have guests travel from all over to eat at Kai Kai,” said Johnny Tung, co-owner of Kai Kai BBQ & Dumplings. “As we’ve grown, we’ve talked a lot about bringing Kai Kai closer to those communities. We’re excited to start bringing authentic Cantonese food across Florida.”
The new location will feature many of the dishes that have made Kai Kai a favorite among local diners and food enthusiasts. Guests can expect to find whole roast ducks, char siu pork and crispy pork displayed in the restaurant’s signature barbecue case. The menu also will include handmade dim sum and classic Cantonese wok dishes such as beef chow fun and young chow fried rice.
The addition of Kai Kai reflects the broader vision behind City Center Market, which aims to provide a platform for local culinary concepts while creating a destination for residents and visitors. The food hall is expected to become one of Lake County’s largest dining and entertainment hubs when fully operational.

Kai Kai’s arrival also highlights the continued growth of Minneola and surrounding communities, which have seen significant residential and commercial development in recent years.
The restaurant is expected to open later this summer and will offer dine-in, takeout and delivery service. Plans also include catering and private event offerings, providing additional opportunities for residents and businesses throughout the region to enjoy Kai Kai’s Cantonese specialties.
