Just for Thrills

The fair is still about being with family and friends, making memories by riding together on everything in sight, including the Yo-Yo.

Animal exhibitions still thrive at the fair, as demonstrated by Apopka’s Justin Thornton. He brought several four-footed entries, among them his prized guinea pig, Rebecca.

James Santana, with the traveling Netterfield concession, is more than willing to help you go off your diet for a day with offerings ranging from nachos to fried bologna sandwiches.

To many fairgoers, the ride has always been known as simply “The Swings.’’ An oldie, but goodie, it takes occupants on an effortless, circular journey.

Amid a hypnotic swirl of light, gravitational forces hold riders in their cages aboard the Enterprise and leave them either 1) wondering what possessed them to get aboard or 2) eager for more.
