In one of my favorite movies, “Isn’t It Romantic,” Rebel Wilson plays an architect who designs parking garages, and at the end of the film, comes to the realization that parking garages should be inviting and welcoming spaces, propelling her forward in her career. The movie opened in 2019, so perhaps it was ahead of the trend. I think of it anytime I drive past JEFRË’s installation on the exterior of the AdventHealth Innovation Tower Parking Garage. He didn’t build the garage, but JEFRË teamed up with the healthcare provider to pay homage to patients and healthcare workers in the public art piece that uses aluminum to represent folded notes of prayers, well wishes and words of encouragement. Inviting indeed.
