Art the Clown is loose at Halloween Horror Nights
If you thought watching Terrifier on the big screen was intense, wait until you step inside Art the Clown’s world in real life.
The Terrifier Haunted House drags you straight into Art the Clown’s twisted world of gore and shock, transforming the cult horror films into a living nightmare you can’t escape. I braved it during the Media Preview on opening night of Halloween Horror Nights 34 at Universal Orlando Resort—and honestly, I couldn’t stop screaming the entire way through.
This exclusive 4K POV walkthrough from the R.I.P Tour at Halloween Horror Nights 34 shows some of the terror, but not all the scenes (I didn’t want to spoil the carnage).
Gore, Fear, and a ‘Car Wash of Blood’: Inside the Secrets of Terrifier at Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights 34
When asked how she brought the Terrifier experience to life in a haunted house, Universal Orlando Show Director Lora Wallace told us,
“There are more effects than we’ve put in the house in a long time. There are smell effects. There’s multiple smell effects. And when those smell effects are at their heightened moment, they stick in your clothes. They really do.
Some of these smells kind of cling to your clothes. And I say we’re affecting all of our senses because they kind of get in your mouth. And you taste it.
You taste it just a little bit. We’re sorry. We’re not.”
PLAYFUL ENDING:
Did you know? At the end of the house, you get to choose whether you go through Art’s symphony of blood. I think Mike (Michael Aiello, Senior Director – Entertainment Creative Development – Universal Orlando Resort), when he first was talking to us about what we wanted to do at the end of our Terrifier haunted house, he’s like, what about a human car wash?
We were like, yes! A car wash of blood.—Lora Wallace, Universal Orlando Show Director.
