Faces of ORL: The Face of Kissimmee
Meet Mayor Olga Gonzalez!
THE FACE OF KISSIMMEE
Olga Gonzalez | Mayor
Kissimmee Mayor Olga Gonzalez was first elected to the Kissimmee City Commission in 2016 and as Mayor in 2020. She’s incredibly proud to be the first female Hispanic Mayor in Central Florida.
“Serving as Mayor for the wonderful City of Kissimmee has been a blessing. For years I have been involved in everything that had to do with the city, such as the School of Government and Commission meetings, and I worked with various non-profit organizations. I have met people who provided new experiences throughout the years. These opportunities have led me to support and welcome new industries that will benefit our local economy for years to come,” said Kissimmee Mayor Olga Gonzalez.
During Gonzalez’s tenure, the city launched two special economic development programs to work toward creating a renaissance of growth within its aviation and medical industries.
The initiatives have worked, specifically in the Kissimmee Medical Arts District, where more than $300 million has been invested by the two large hospitals: AdventHealth Kissimmee and HCA Florida Osceola Hospital. The city welcomes more medical investment and provides economic development incentives to employers to locate or expand here. To learn more about these opportunities, please visit, GrowKissimmee.com.
