For 15 years, Dr. Javier Placer, a highly respected double board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Management physician who specializes in helping people with chronic pain, worked for an orthopedic group practice in Central Florida. He saw that many people needed alternate ways to ease their pain without just relying on medicines or invasive surgeries. He decided to start Florida Spine and Pain, a practice combining physiatry and interventional pain management.
Now, Florida Spine and Pain has four locations in Winter Park, Orlando, Clermont, and Davenport and services skilled nursing homes throughout Central Florida. Dr. Placer and his clinical team, recently joined by board certified physician, Dr. Ruben Rivera, uses the latest medical treatments and advanced image-guided equipment to help patients feel better. They don’t just focus on quick fixes; they aim to help patients achieve long term relief. Treating patients under the rehabilitative specialties of physiatry with interventional pain management has been a huge success, and patients love it. Dr. Javier Placer is an expert in treating pain related to spine and joint disorders. He leads a specialized clinical staff who know how to help patients strengthen their muscles, stabilize their joints, recover from injuries, and become more flexible.
