The award-winning Orange County Convention Center (OCCC), located in the heart of International Drive and just 15 minutes from Orlando International Airport, offers a world-class campus with two stunning buildings – the West and North-South. Generating more than $5 billion in economic impact annually for Central Florida, the Center hosts nearly 200 events and welcomes more than 2.3 million attendees each year. As Deputy Director, Eric Blanc, CEM, CMP oversees Sales, Marketing, Event Management and Exhibitor Services, and plays a pivotal role in advancing the OCCC’s position as a premier destination for conventions, trade shows, and events. With 34 years of industry experience, Eric has held key leadership roles across several industry organizations, including 15 years at the Tampa Convention Center and national sales positions with Freeman and GES. A Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM), Eric serves on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and is a former president of both the Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA) and Convention Sales Professionals International (CSPI). Through his strategic vision, industry expertise and commitment to service excellence, Eric continues to strengthen client and industry partnerships while driving business opportunities for the OCCC – reinforcing its reputation as a leading meetings and events destination.
