Orlando theater lovers have plenty to celebrate. The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has announced its 2026-27 AdventHealth Broadway in Orlando season, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most star-powered lineups yet to hit downtown’s Walt Disney Theater.
The upcoming season promises “bigger stories, boldest characters and most memorable moments,” bringing a mix of beloved classics, award-winning hits and buzzy new productions to Central Florida.
Leading the lineup is the return of the cultural phenomenon Hamilton, running Sept. 29 through Oct. 18. The season also features the Tony-winning Buena Vista Social Club, the musical comedy adaptation of Death Becomes Her, and a stage version of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby.
Fans of timeless favorites will find plenty to love, too. The Sound of Music brings its classic songs to the stage in March, while Disney’s Beauty and the Beast returns with a new North American touring production more than 25 years after its original debut.
The season also includes high-energy crowd-pleasers such as BOOP! The Musical, Jersey Boys, and optional add-on favorites like Wicked and Beetlejuice.
Beyond the shows themselves, subscriptions offer perks including savings compared with single-ticket prices, flexible exchanges and early access to premium seating.
For Orlando audiences, the announcement signals another year of world-class touring productions anchoring downtown’s cultural calendar — and another reminder that Broadway continues to thrive far beyond New York.
