Dr. Lara Hitchcock established the Hitchcock Health Institute in 2005 and has consistently received “Best Doctor” distinctions since that year, along with being recognized as a “Top Doctor in Orlando” for over 15 years. Dr. Hitchcock places great emphasis on having a dedicated and highly skilled team by her side.

A Board-Certified physician in Family Medicine who also achieved the Degree of Fellow in Family Medicine, Dr. Hitchcock has been serving the Orlando community since 2001. She graduated from the University of Florida and attended the Mayo Clinic Medical School. Additionally, she holds the role of Associate Professor of Medicine at Florida State University College of Medicine and serves on the Medical Advisory Board for MDVIP. Dr. Hitchcock is certified in the BaleDoneen model of practice which incorporates oral and gut health testing with cardiovascular risk stratification and treatment. Her practice offers same-day and next day appointments for urgent needs for all of her patients and unrushed comprehensive follow- up appointments for chronic illnesses. She offers well women exams and weight loss as a part of her practice as well as hormone replacement therapy for men and women. Her adult patients receive both basic and advanced on-site testing, including comprehensive screenings for heart disease and stroke, assessments for nutrition, cognitive health, gut health, and infl ammation as a part of their executive annual wellness which is included in her program. Dr. Hitchcock also offers additional testing including genetic testing for dementia and cancer, and analysis of medications and supplements by a pharmacist in order to reduce any adverse effects on energy level or cognition. Her patients benefit from access to the latest medical procedures, such as skin tightening, skin clearing, treatments for dry eye, and solutions for female incontinence and vaginal dryness. Furthermore, she has developed her own line of anti-aging skin and hair products through the Hitchcock Health Institute.
