Children’s teeth and jaws are constantly growing and developing. With digital dental x-rays, we can detect dental issues that may not be visible during a routine clinical exam. These digital radiographs provide quicker results, as images are available immediately, while using significantly lower radiation than traditional x-rays. The x-rays help with early detection of cavities and dental infections, identifying occlusal misalignments, and highlighting other oral health concerns. Using digital x-rays also allows for prompt treatment and better long-term outcomes for our pediatric patients. Additionally, digital images can be easily stored and shared with specialists, if necessary, facilitating better collaboration in treatment planning.

First, we will take an X-ray to determine if the darkness was caused by a cavity or if it was due to a metal material that is used in the older style of crowns. Either way, the old crown is removed and a new crown can be fabricated using an all porcelain material.
